Members of Christ the King are involved in several areas of Global Missions.                                 

Several of the CTK Women meet at Christ Hall two days of the month for quilting for Lutheran World relief. They also support other projects such as sewing diapers from t-shirts, layettes, pillow-case dresses (Uganda, Tanzania, Mexico and Honduras) and making prayer shawls and prayer quilts for congregation members who are experiencing a long-term illness.

Christ the King supports the missions of the following organizations:

 ccmlogo  Common Cup is a gathering of 30 area churches and many volunteers and supporters who share spiritually and financially, creating a “Common Cup” to minister to those in need. The website has information about their local programs and activities. Christ the King has been an active member of this local ministry since its inception.

 CommonGorund-logoCommon Ground Ministries is a Christian, non-profit, non-denominational  organization  dedicated  to  sharing the  Good News of Christ. We rely on volunteer participation and your generous contributions to fund our diverse local and international outreach ministries.
EEMN logo  EEMN works in Belarus, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Russia, Slovakia, Turkey and Ukraine as a networking ministry, networking individuals and congregations in the US and Eastern Europe for mutual prayer, encouragement, sharing of resources, mentoring of leaders and for sending short and long-term missionaries.

The mission of “Food for Kidz” is to provide the opportunity to anyone to package a specially designed, fully nutritious meal and to distribute this packet of food to hungry children and their families where crisis has struck and there is an immediate need.  Everywhere we go we are met with enthusiasm and a volunteering spirit that is great. Together we were able to make a difference in the lives of millions of children all over the world!

HeartSouls logo   For Hearts & Souls is a Christian medical mission organization dedicated to sharing Christ’s love through the medical treatment of children born wih congenital heart disease and preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  God has called them to this medical mission in the countries of Kurdistan, Kosovo, Iraq, Zambia, Israel, Papua New Guinea, Mongolia and Nepal.

International Students Inc. exists to share Christ's love with international college students  

 NHMS logo New Hope Mission Society is a Christian community that desires to bring the love of Jesus to the Muslim world.  This bold witness is leading many Muslims in India to experience new life living under the gracious Lordship of our Savior, Jesus Christ.  NHMS has expanded its support to a Christian-based school in India, an evangelist in Nigeria, and witness to international college students in the Minneapolis area.   
LWR-LOGO-HOME-RESIZED Lutheran World Relief a ministry of US Lutherans serving communities living in poverty overseas.  LWR works around the world to end poverty, injustice and human suffering.

PWI logo

PWI emphasizes praying for others, encouraging Christians to pray intentionally, and teaching prayer, especially through the Prayer Schools. Assisting PWI in its worldwide mission is twenty-seven national and international PWI Teams, Chapters, and Branches in Africa , America , Asia , and Europe.
SeedsOfHope  Seeds of Hope is a student sponsorship ministry started in 2002 by Minnesota Lutherans who traveled to El Salvador and wanted to support children living in extreme poverty.  Family of Christ Lutheran Church in Chanhassen, MN coordinates the ministry and sends a mission trip to El Salvador each summer to visit sponsored students in their churches and schools.  Sponsors support students in K-12 with a donation of $180 for K-9 and $360 for high school students.   This money helps families pay for school uniforms, shoes, supplies, and fees. Some sponsors also support university students by paying $1500 per year for tuition and fees. Sponsors are encouraged to write to their students to facilitate an ongoing relationship.  These students wouldn’t be able to attend school without our scholarships.  In 2015, Seeds of Hope sponsored 340 students, including 35 university students; 12 Christ the King families personally sponsor 21 students, including 5 partial sponsorships of university students.


VH logo  Vision Hunduras is a small group of committed individuals who has traveled to Honduras for six years to help people less fortunate gain access to glasses, food, and medical supplies.
 Wycliffe-logo  Wycliff Bible Translator's vision is to see the Bible accessible to all people in the language they understand best. To make this vision a reality, Wycliffe also focuses on community development, literacy development and church partnerships

Several members of Christ the King participate in mission trips in support of some of the groups listed above. If you are interested in any of the following:
