In Our Community

Blessed is he who has regard for the weak and the poor; the Lord delivers him in times of trouble. – Psalm 41.1

Christ the King is dedicated to being of service to Hutchinson and the surrounding community. Our facilities are made available to several organizations as needed and you will often find our church brimming with activity.

The following are some of the community ministries that Christ the King members are actively involved in:

Common Cup Ministries gathers and shares Spiritual and financial resources of area churches into one "Common Cup" to minister to those in need.  In addition to supplying financail support we support Common Cup in the following ways:
  • School Supply Drive-members donate school supplies throught the month of July
  • Coat Drive-members are encouraged to donate "gentely worn" coats in the spring and fall.  The coats are then given to those in need in the middle of October.  Children's coats and snowpants are especially needed.
  • Backpack Food program - individual servings of food are packed together and given to children on free and reduced price lunch on Fridays duuring the school year.  The child can then be assured of having some food to eat over the weekend.
